The Fenders Blue butterfly is a protected species found in specific areas of Benton County, Oregon. Cardwell Hill Cellars has one of these dedicated sites.  The colorful label is in recognition of our dedication to the environment.  The wine has a smooth-round texture of sour cherry and raspberry that lingers on the pallet.

Cardwell Hill Cellars

OREGON WINERY OF THE YEAR 2021!! A chemical engineer gone rogue, Dan Chapel and his wife Nancy, owners of this boutique winery in the heart of the Willamette Valley, Oregon spend their days committed to sustainable agricultural practices and old world winemaking with minimal intervention. Producers of specific designated block Pinot Noirs, they give back more than what they take from the land.

All wines are Estate, dry farmed, Certified Sustainable L.I.V.E, Salmon Safe, organic farmed, Pinot process only in French oak barrels, bottled by winery using modern GAI bottling line.

Willamette Valley

The Willamette Valley, the heart of Oregon's wine country, pays homage to one of the most difficult noble grapes to grow, Pinot Noir. Now with nine sub-AVAs, the distinctive soils of, Jory (volcanic), Willakenzie (marine sediment) and Loess (windblown silt) lends itself to the uniquely different characteristics found in Oregon's most popular grape variety. Wineries here are predominately artisanal, playing on old-world winemaking techniques and modern-day inventions, with strong attention to sustainability standards.
