The 2020 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon will quickly catch your eye due to its deep, dark ruby red color. In the glass you’ll immediately find notes of red plum and cranberry, paired with hints of vanilla lingering in the background. The French oak this wine is aged in shines on the palate, with a burst of pomegranate swiftly transitioning to supple spice and tannin structure. A slight hint of eucalyptus helps round out the tannins on the finish, leaving you coming back for more every time!

Sextant Wines

Sextant Wines started with a small planting of Cabernet, Zinfandel and Rhône varietals in the El Pomar District within the Paso Robles AVA. With every harvest proprietors Nancy and Craig Stoller grew their family-owned, estate acreage, now with vineyards stretching from San Luis Obispo to Monterey. Matching crisp, coastal air with the region’s nutrient-rich terroir, Sextant has been able to produce acclaimed, award-winning wines year after year.

Each of the old world varietals Sextant embraces are hand-harvested at full maturation promising full flavor and intense taste in every bottle. Craig Stoller, Director of Winemaking, leads production by crafting small-lot, site-specific wines, bringing forth unique characteristics to highlight their sense of place.

Paso Robles

The international underdog of California AVAs, with iconic Oak trees throughout the Eastside and Westside vineyards. The Eastside's diurnal cycle is long hot days and cold breezy nights whereas the Westside microclimate is known for the cooling winds from the Templeton Gap and lesser growing degree days. Paso Robles, with its 11 sub-AVAs, is particularly known for its rich wines and dramatic temperature swings that enhance flavor and acidity.
