The growing season conditions were extremely favorable throughout this vintage and the proof comes through in this Estate Pinot Noir. The dark color of the wine inspires intrigue and draws you in by its mere presence. Exotic aromas emerge from the glass in concert suggesting notes of black tea, tart bramble fruits, quince, and anise. The densely layered palate is defined by a fine-tuned structure highlighting notes of pomegranate, lavender, and fresh sage. While still young and bold, this wine shows incredible potential to unpack with time in a decanter, or in a cool dark cellar. Racy aromas of neroli, lemon curd, white pepper, and violet. The palate bursts with harmonious notes of butterscotch, crème brulée, honeysuckle, meyer lemon and apricot. Ever passionate and dedicated to making the most expressive wines of the highest quality, Thomas expanded his reach to Boars’ View and his first love, Pinot Noir. Thomas carries forward his commitment to handcrafting compelling, provocative wines that reflect the essence of their origins with the wines of Boars’ View. A hallmark of his style, Thomas masterfully wields non-interventional winemaking techniques to create Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of stunning character and dazzling finesse. Thomas has been intimately involved in the Boars’ View from the beginning and continues to oversee all aspects of vineyard practices and winemaking, guiding the ins-and-outs of the growing season to produce fruit of peerless purity and character.
Fort Ross - Seaview
This special sub-AVA located on the rugged Sonoma Coast of California, known for its cool climate and dramatic terrain. Situated high above the fog line at elevations of 920 to 1,800 feet, the vineyards benefit from abundant sunshine and cool, oceanic breezes. This combination allows for slow ripening, which enhances the complexity and vibrant acidity in the wines. The region is renowned for its exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with wines that reflect the maritime climate, producing distinctive flavors and a sense of place.
