For more than four decades Lemberger has been an important part of our family’s tradition on Red Mountain. The grape thrives here, producing medium-bodied, fruit-driven wines that pair well with a wide array of foods. It’s an uncommon grape that’s worthy of attention.

Kiona produced the first commercial Lemberger bottling in the United States in 1980, and we are the largest producer of the variety in the Western Hemisphere. It's an easy-to-pair, fruit-forward, crowds-pleasing wine with universal appeal.

LAS PERSONAS Y EL LUGAR

Kiona Vineyards

Our family pioneered Red Mountain when we planted 10 acres of wine grapes in the middle of nowhere. Four decades and three generations later we farm over 270 estate-grown acres in the world-famous AVA. Our grapes are used in our own 20,000-case estate winery and by more the 60 other top winemakers.

Red Mountain

Washington's premier wine growing region with limited production and high-quality focus. Sedimentary soils, Southwest slopes and prevailing winds, low precipitation and temperature swings create intense, concentrated wines with remarkable balance of fruit, acidity, and tannin.
