LAS PERSONAS Y EL LUGAR
CaliPaso Winery
Calipaso Winery is located in the Eastside of Paso Robles, California and was acquired by the Wu Family in 2012. The property is managed by youngest son Jeff, where it had previously been a quaint inn and production facility but the family was keen on making it one of the premier destinations on the Central Coast. Twelve years later they can definitely say they have done just that. Luxurious wines and luxurious accommodations is exactly what you will find when you step past the gates and enter Calipaso. The estate boasts some of the most elegant and sophisticated grown Cabernet Sauvignon, but also produces wines from a select group of vineyards on the Central Coast. Jeff has remained consistent in his quest for excellence but also has a strong desire to be accessible so wines remain affordable.
Paso Robles
The international underdog of California AVAs, with iconic Oak trees throughout the Eastside and Westside vineyards. The Eastside's diurnal cycle is long hot days and cold breezy nights whereas the Westside microclimate is known for the cooling winds from the Templeton Gap and lesser growing degree days. Paso Robles, with its 11 sub-AVAs, is particularly known for its rich wines and dramatic temperature swings that enhance flavor and acidity.
