The Immigrant is named in honor of Albino Donati, the patriarch of the Donati Family, who immigrated to the United States from Italy at the turn of the 20th century. Aged for 31 months in Hybrid Oak Barrels, this wine features aromas of plum and dark cherry with hints of tobacco and black pepper. Big fruit on the palate with velvety tannins and a long finish.

AS PESSOAS E O LUGAR

Donati Family Vineyard

The core of Donati Family Vineyard’s award winning wine portfolio has always been focused on Bordeaux varieties. These include Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as high-quality Meritage-style blends such as Ezio and The Immigrant, named after Ron’s father and grandfather, respectively. The winery also produces select amounts of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Syrah, and Grenache. All of the fruit is sourced from our sustainably farmed estate vineyards. Our winemaking philosophy is one of minimal intervention in the cellar. Donati’s dedicated winemaking team brings hands-on experience, analytic knowledge, and a true passion for their craft. The Donati Family Vineyard winery is located in Templeton, California, the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country.

Paso Robles

The international underdog of California AVAs, with iconic Oak trees throughout the Eastside and Westside vineyards. The Eastside's diurnal cycle is long hot days and cold breezy nights whereas the Westside microclimate is known for the cooling winds from the Templeton Gap and lesser growing degree days. Paso Robles, with its 11 sub-AVAs, is particularly known for its rich wines and dramatic temperature swings that enhance flavor and acidity.
