Our winemaking philosophy at Center of Effort is to honor the natural character of our fruit, employing thoughtful craftsmanship to coax our wines into true expressions of our special _terroir_. There is nothing expedient in our approach. We embrace the detailed, labor-intensive methods required to make the finest wines. Our wines are fermented and aged in small lots, always with a gentle touch, and frequently relying on experienced intuition to guide our decisions.
Edna Valley
The single coolest sub-AVA in the new SLO Coast, with a long growing season and year-round fog. This cool climate maritime allows fruit to slowly ripen while preserving its natural acidity.
