Fait-Main
2024 Fait Main Weitz Cabernet Sauvignon
Benoit’s connection to Weitz Vineyard began in 2013, during his years as winemaker and proprietor of Realm Cellars, when he first recognized the character and consistency of this remarkable Oakville site. Through his work at Shypoke Vineyard, he also developed a lasting friendship with Peter Heitz, whose stewardship of Weitz runs deep. One parcel, Block 44, stood apart vintage after vintage. After more than a decade of admiration and trust, Peter finally entrusted it to Fait-Main.
Historically known as Leopoldina Vineyard, Weitz rises from 460 to 860 feet along Oakville’s eastern hillside. Block 44, redeveloped in 2012, is rooted in iron-rich volcanic Boomer and Hambright soils of fractured rock and clay. Exceptional drainage naturally limits vigor, producing Cabernet Sauvignon with concentration, structure, freshness, and precision.
