Horse & Plow North Coast Draft Horse Red
Red Blend · Grenache · Petite Sirah · Carignane
This Old World red blend of Grenache, Petite Sirah, and Old Vine Carignane comes from vineyards in the North Coast. The grapes were picked by hand, 80% were de-stemmed with 20% Whole Cluster, and cold soaked for 5- 10 days. We fermented each lot using native yeast in small open-top tanks, punch-down by hand, and aged in French Oak barrels. This wine is not fined or filtered. It has complex notes of boysenberry and earth, is rich and velvety on the palate, and finishes with fine tannins and balanced acidity.

THE PEOPLE & THE PLACE
Horse & Plow
Horse & Plow is a small, family run winery based in Sebastopol, California, in the heart of the Russian River Valley. This area is ideal for producing high quality fruit that makes unique, and delicious, wine & cider. We also source grapes from our neighbors in Mendocino and Napa counties, allowing for even more variety from ideal sites. We utilize organic farming methods, small lot fermentations and traditional techniques to make balanced, food friendly and site specific natural wines.
North Coast
California's North Coast wines includes grapes grown in the counties of Lake County, Los Carneros, Mendocino, Napa Valley, Solano, and Sonoma. The region is vast with its first vine plantings from the mid 1800s by Agoston Haraszthy, the Father of the Wine Industry.
