THE PEOPLE & THE PLACE
Kiona Vineyards
Our family pioneered Red Mountain when we planted 10 acres of wine grapes in the middle of nowhere. Four decades and three generations later we farm over 270 estate-grown acres in the world-famous AVA. Our grapes are used in our own 20,000-case estate winery and by more the 60 other top winemakers.
Columbia Valley (WA)
Washington State's largest wine region, is known for its diverse climates and soils, offering ideal conditions for a wide range of grape varieties. Its sunny days, cool nights, and low rainfall create a long growing season, allowing grapes to ripen fully while retaining bright acidity. The region's sandy, well-drained soils limit vine vigor, producing concentrated, flavorful fruit. Columbia Valley is particularly famous for its bold Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and elegant Riesling, making it a powerhouse for high-quality, expressive wines.
